From 1999 to 2018 the suicide rate in the U.S. climbed by 35%. Since then we have only seen a 5% decline yet there are increases in specific groups. America spends more money on healthcare than any other wealthy country, yet, it still leads the wealthy countries in the number of suicides. Having the money and resources available isn't enough, as a society, we have to try harder to help save those we know and do not know.
